Earlier this month, we had some rumours of Xiaomi to be launching new RedmiBook laptops with new AMD Ryzen 4000 mobile APUs. Now with a live leak of a RedmiBook laptop with a Ryzen 7 4700U proves that Xiaomi is in works.
Pointed by the reliable tipster @xiaomishka, earlier this month, Xiaomi will be offering their new RedmiBook laptops in three sizes- 13-inch, 14-inch and 16-inch. Now @_rogame has confirmed this by spotting the laptop on 3DMark.
As we see there are two variants in the processor, one with 6-core Ryzen 5 4500U and the other with 8-core Ryzen 7 4700U. Also, it’s confirmed that all of the laptops will feature 16GB RAM along with 512 GB Samsung SSD.
Based on 7nm Zen 2 architecture, these APUs are very powerful both on the CPU and GPU front. Paired with 16 gigs of RAM along with hopefully NVMe SSDs will result in best performance.
As we see the AMD Ryzen 5 model is codenamed TIMI TM1951, on the other hand, the Ryzen 7 model has been codenamed TIMI TM1953. Hopefully by end of this month, Xiaomi will be launching these AMD powered RedmiBook 13, RedmiBook 14S and RedmiBook 16 laptops.
