Xiaomi Pad 7 Series and Smart Band 9 Pro to Launch Alongside Xiaomi 15 on October 29

Xiaomi has officially announced the launch date for its new flagship smartphone series, the Xiaomi 15 series, which is set to debut on October 29, 2024. Xiaomi will also unveil its new Xiaomi Pad 7 series and the increasingly long-rumored fitness tracker with premium features known as Mi Band 9 Pro.

The Upcoming Xiaomi Pad 7 Series

Today, the Chinese tech giant has also confirmed that it will announce the Xiaomi Pad 7 Series and a new band called Xiaomi Smart Band 9 Pro at its October 29 event alongside the launch of Xiaomi’s upcoming flagship 15 series. The Xiaomi Pad 7 series is expected to feature a tall display with stylus support. Previous leaks have suggested it may feature an 11.16-inch LCD panel with a 144Hz refresh rate, while the Pro model could offer up better OLED technology and brighter screens for both models.

The top-end tablet model is expected to feature the Snapdragon 8s Gen 3 SoC whereas the entry-level one could come with a snapdragon 7+ Gen. Likewise, these differences will translate over to charging capabilities with both phones likely offering 3C certification for only 67W wired and a 45W, respectively. The series will be backed by a large 10,000mAh battery and boot Android 15 OS with HyperOS 2.0 custom skin.

While the best was some two weeks ago when renders of a Xiaomi Smart Band 9 Pro were leaked, the brand-new design has now officially arrived. This wearable is expected to feature a 1.74-inch AMOLED display with a resolution of 336 x 480, a 60Hz refresh rate, and a peak brightness of 600 nits. The Smart Band 9 Pro is likely to offer various health and fitness tracking functions, including heart rate monitoring and blood oxygen level tracking.
