Xiaomi launched the Pad 5 Pro 12.4 in China as the company’s latest tablet, the brand also found a couple of other products such as its latest foldable device, the Xiaomi Mix Fold 2. The tablet is much different from the Pad 5 Pro launched last year as it features the Snapdragon 870 SoC, a 12.4″ 2.5K resolution LCD screen with a 120Hz refresh rate, and a 10,000mAh battery.

The Pad 5 Pro 12.4 features a lot of changes in terms of design and appearance, the company has slimmed the bezels down and it has four sides with a full-screen equal-width approach on the front. On the rear of the device is a redesigned camera module similar to the Xiaomi 12 Series. The display measures 12.4″ and it has an LCD panel with a 2.5K resolution and a high refresh rate of 120Hz. The display has a peak brightness of 500 nits with support for the P3 color gamut and HDR10 support.

The tablet is powered by the Qualcomm Snapdragon 870 chipset that we saw on the Pad Pro 2021. In terms of storage options, we get a 6GB RAM+128GB version, an 8GB+256GB version, and a 12GB RAM+512GB top-tier edition.

The Xiaomi Pad 5 Pro 12.4 has a triple camera sensor on the rear with a 50MP primary sensor, and a pair of 2MP depth-of-field lenses. On the front, there is a 20MP selfie shooter. The tablet has a massive 10,000mAh battery with support for 67W fast charging. The brand claims that the battery can go from 0 to 100 in 68 minutes. For sound, there is a quad-speaker setup with two microphones. It runs on MIUI 13 by default.

In terms of pricing and availability, the Pad 5 Pro 12.4 costs $415 for the 6GB RAM+128GB version, $490 for the 8GB RAM+256GB version, and $593 for the 12GB+512GB version. The device is available in three colors namely Black, Silver, and Green. It is available only in China as of now but it is not yet certain if the tab will be made available worldwide.
