Today, [Xiaomi](https://www.mi.com/global/) released two new foldable phones – their first clamshell flip phone and the fourth-gen. horizontal book-style foldable. The Xiaomi MIX Fold 4 against the Galaxy Z Fold 6 and Honor Magic V3, its sequel to the folding model launched last year, Fold 3. This time with major enhancements over the previous one. ## **More About the Xiaomi MIX Fold 4**

While the MIX Fold 4’s rectangular rear camera module has been re-designed, it is now bigger and features a curved bottom edge. Convenience is added by the Godix fingerprint scanner doubling as a power button. The phone has the latest Dragon Bone Engine 2.0 and T800H high-strength carbon fiber architecture improving both reliability and slimness whilst cutting weight. The hinge is rated for 500,000 folds.

When folded, the device is 9.47mm thick and 4.59mm when unfolded, similar to the Honor Magic V3. It weighs 226 grams and is IPX8-certified for water resistance. The Xiaomi MIX Fold 4 has a 6.56-inch external quad-curved display and an internal screen measuring 7.98 inches, with a resolution of up to 2,488 x 2224 pixels. This 120Hz refresh rate panel throws a peak brightness of up to 3,000 nits with HDR10+, HDR Vivid, and Dolby Vision. There are ultra-thin glass and an under-display camera on the inside screen.

For photography, the MIX Fold 4 includes Leica-branded quad rear cameras: a 50MP main sensor, a 12MP ultra-wide lens, a 50MP portrait telephoto lens with 2x zoom, and a 50MP periscope lens with 5x zoom.  It offers various Leica features like filters and photography styles.
