Xiaomi has launched a new audio product called the Mi Outdoor Bluetooth Speaker which is a small and simple speaker that you can carry ‘outdoor’. It is in fact a tiny and lightweight cuboidal speaker that fits in the palm of your hand has been priced at Rs.1,399.
Even though it looks like to the small speakers, it is simple and the finishing of the speaker makes it look like a brother of Google Home Mini. It has a plastic bottom and grey fabric-covered top featuring the power and play/pause button on one side and volume rockers on the other.
On the top edge, you get a loop strip to hang or easily carry the speaker anywhere, then you have the charging port as well as AUX port on the other edges. On the audio front, the speaker is rated at 5W and even though being tiny, Xiaomi says that you can expect “clear, rich, and punchy bass” from the speaker.
As this is an outdoor speaker, it has an IPx5 water resistance rating along with Bluetooth 5.0 and a built-in microphone to answer calls as well. As this is not a smart speaker but the Mi Outdoor Bluetooth speaker has a dedicated button that lets you easily access the voice assistant on your smartphone.
The best part feature of the speaker is the battery, even though it’s tiny but it packs a huge 2,000mAh battery that is said to give you battery life for up to 20 hours. If you want one, you can easily buy from the Mi store now at Rs.1,399 only.
