Xiaomi has released the Mi Notebook 12.4 2-in-1 laptop in its home market of China. This is the Chinese version of the Xiaomi Book S 12.4 that was released on the global market in June 2022.
The laptop will be available for pre-order tomorrow at 10:00 a.m. China Standard Time at Xiaomi Mall, Xiaomi Youpin, and JD.com (February 3). Given that the notebook is essentially a rebranded Book S 12.4, the specifications will most likely be the same.
The Xiaomi Book S 12.4 is powered by a Qualcomm Snapdragon 8cx Gen 2 processor.
This chipset has a 7W TDP, 3.15MHz maximum clock speed, 8 cores + 8 threads, and an Adreno 680 GPU. It is compatible with 256 GB of storage and 8 GB of RAM. The laptop also has a built-in micro SD card port for memory expansion of up to 512 GB.
The Book S 12.4 features a 12.4-inch IPS LCD panel with a 2,560 x 1,600-pixel resolution, 16:10 aspect ratio, peak brightness of 500 nits, and 100% DCI-P3 colour gamut coverage. It is protected by Corning Gorilla Glass 5 and supports touch inputs. For selfies and video calls, a 5 MP camera sensor is used, and a 13 MP camera sensor is located on the back.
The laptop ships with an ARM-based version of Windows 11. For connectivity, the Xiaomi Book S 12.4′′ has a single USB Type-C port, Wi-Fi ac, and Bluetooth 5.1. Finally, the package’s 38.08 Wh/4,920 mAh battery supports 65 W fast charging.
