Chinese mobile manufacturer Xiaomi announced on Wednesday that it is all set to launch its new smartphone series — ‘Civi’ in China on September 27. The specifications of the upcoming smartphone Xiaomi CIVI have been revealed on the Chinese micro-blogging site Weibo. According to reports, a Qualcomm Snapdragon 778G chipset will be supported in the phone. The same chipset will be used in the Xiaomi 11 Lite NE 5G smartphone. So let’s have a look at the details
Xiaomi Civi Specs
Xiaomi previously confirmed the design of the Civi, which reveals a design similar to that of the Vivo V21 5G. Since we are discussing the phone’s device, the smartphone maker also noted that the Civi will have the smallest chin on a Mi phone in history. The Xiaomi Civi will also pack a 4,500 mAh battery and is claimed to deliver the longest battery life of any Xiaomi smartphone launched this year.
From the teaser image, it is evident that the phone will also feature a triple-camera setup on the back. On the front, the hole-punch camera cutout will house a 32 MP selfie camera with a dual soft-light LED flash and autofocus lens.
The bottom of the phone is teased to have a USB Type-C port, a loudspeaker grille, a primary microphone, and a SIM card slot, while its top appears to have an infrared (IR) sensor. A plastic frame and a glass back have been used in the phone, the phone will come with an entry-glare finish. Tampered edge and quad curve have been used in this, which gives better grip in the phone.
The Smartphone will come in 3 variants. The phone will support upto 12GB of RAM and upto 256GB of storage. The 8GB + 128GB variant will come at a price range of ¥2799 (₹ 31,900), the 8GB + 256GB variant will come at ¥3099 (₹ 35,300) and the 12GB + 256GB variant will come at ¥3399 (₹ 38,700).
Xiaomi is speculated to have multiple models planned in the Xiaomi Civi series. However, the first phone in the lineup is expected to be unveiled initially at the launch event that is taking place in China on Monday, September 27.
