Xiaomi brings Loop LiquidCool Technology solution

Today in Beijing, CHINA, Global technology leader Xiaomi has unveiled its latest breakthrough in heat dissipation – Loop LiquidCool Technology. The technology comes inspired by cooling solutions used in the aerospace industry, and the Loop LiquidCool Technology utilizes a capillary effect which draws a liquid cooling agent to the heat source, vaporizes, and then disperses the heat efficiently towards a cooler area. This is done until the agent condenses and the heat is then captured via a unidirectional closed-looped channel.

The new technology has twice the cooling capabilities compared to the conventional vapour chambers solutions and also ranks as the most efficient smartphone cooling solution which exists in the market. The company announced integrating this new technology in its products by H2 2022.

The Loop LiquidCool Technology features an annular heat pipe system that is composed of an evaporator, a condenser, a refill chamber, and the evaporator also comes with a refrigerant that evaporates to gas when the smartphone is under high workload.

The company also stated that in the Xiaomi MIX 4, the original vapour chamber was replaced with a new Loop LiquidCool Technology solution. And the company demonstrated its 30-minute Genshin Impact gameplay test running on 60fps max video settings, and the new impressive cooling system kept the device below a max temperature of 47.7℃ and the processor was 8.6℃ lower than the standard version.

The technology is supported by the one-way circulation, gas-liquid separation, and low heat-resistance gas pipes of the Tesla valve. the Loop LiquidCool Technology has a flexible form factor which makes it possible in adopting and stacking  Loop LiquidCool Technology into any type of internal design.
