## The Camera Story — Leica Comes to the T Series for the First Time

This is the headline. For the first time ever in Xiaomi’s T Series, the 17T packs a **Leica 5x periscope telephoto camera** — a genuine optical zoom capability that was previously only seen in much more expensive flagships. Built around a Leica Summilux optical lens system, it delivers sharp images across all zoom levels, impressive low-light performance, and creative tools like Leica Live Moment and Leica Live Portrait.

[Leica](https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Leica_Camera), the legendary German optics brand, has been a trusted name in photography for over a century — and having that pedigree inside a sub-₹55,000 phone is genuinely exciting.

The Dimensity 8500-Ultra processor handles everything from gaming to multitasking effortlessly, while the enormous 6500mAh silicon-carbon battery means you’re not hunting for a charger by 6pm. The 67W HyperCharge tops it up fast when you do need it.

The 6.59-inch 1.5K AMOLED display with TÜV Rheinland eye-comfort certification and 3500 nits peak brightness makes streaming and gaming genuinely enjoyable — even in bright sunlight.
