Xiaomi 15 Ultra Spotted on BIS Certification, India Launch Expected Soon

Last month Xiaomi introduced the Xiaomi 15 series in China, but the regular Ultra model that should roll out globally is in the focus now. The Xiaomi 15 Ultra is also expected to launch in India, and its listing has been spotted on the Indian BIS (Bureau of Indian Standards) certification.

This device was approved on Dec 20, 2024 under the model number “25010PN30I”. While the BIS certification does not contain the name of the model directly, earlier IMEI listings identify it as the Indian variant of Xiaomi 15 Ultra. The foreign version will adopt a similar model number, swapping ‘I’ for ‘G’ at the end, while China gets a variant ending with a ‘C’.

Xiaomi 15 Ultra Surfaces on BIS Certification, India Launch Expected in 2025 Following Global Debut

The device has been spotted on China’s 3C certification platform in two variants – one supporting dual satellite communication and the second single satellite mode. The model number observed for the single satellite communication variant matches the Global and Indian variants. Similar to the Xiaomi 14 series, which had the Xiaomi 14 and 14 Ultra released in India while the Pro variant was kept exclusive to China, the same pattern should follow for the Xiaomi 15 series.

So far, only the Xiaomi 15 has surfaced in both Global and Indian BIS certifications. Although the initial outpouring of reports anticipated the release of the device in January 2025, the latest reports point to a February 2025 debut for China. The global and Indian launches are expected to follow shortly after. For reference, the Xiaomi 14 series debuted in India in March 2024, so we can expect a similar timeframe for the Xiaomi 15 Ultra and the Xiaomi 15 in March or April 2025.
