Xiaomi 15 Ultra, Buds 5 Pro Finally Launched in China

Xiaomi has officially launched the Xiaomi 15 Ultra in China, packed with powerful features like the Snapdragon 8 Elite chipset and a 200MP periscope telephoto camera. The upcoming smartphone will be featured at MWC 2025. It has a 6.73-inch display with a 120Hz refresh rate, peak brightness of 3,200nits with a resolution of 3,200 x 1,440 pixels. The device comes with up to 16GB of RAM and is fueled by a huge 6,000mAh battery with 90W wired fast charging.

The camera system is one of the big selling points for photography lovers, as the Xiaomi 15 Ultra gets a 50MP ultrawide (f/2.2; 14 mm), a 50MP telephoto (f/1.8; macro-enabled), and a 200MP periscope telephoto setup. Other notable features include UFS 4.1 storage, LPDDR5X RAM, USB 3.2 Gen 2, an IP68 rating for water and dust resistance, and Shield Glass 2.0 protection.

As for the pricing, the Xiaomi 15 Ultra will actually cost CNY 6,499 for the 12GB RAM + 256GB storage variant, translating to around ₹78,050. The smartphone will be offered in Classic Black, Silver, Pine and Cypress Green colors, as well as White and Black colors. It is now available to order in China and will be on sale starting March 3rd. The global launch will happen on March 2, same day shipped alongside Xiaomi 15, whereas the India launch is also likely to happen in March.

Alongside the Xiaomi 15 Ultra, it also announced its new flagship TWS earbuds — the Xiaomi Buds 5 Pro. These earbuds feature Wi-Fi audio transmission with a speed of up to 4.2Mbps, aptX Lossless technology with a 2.1Mbps transmission rate, and AI-powered enhancements. They feature a dual amplifier and triple driver design, comprising an 11mm titanium-plated woofer and a 10mm ceramic tweeter, and are tuned by Harman’s Golden Ear team.

The Buds 5 Pro features up to 55dB of active noise cancellation, a 3-mic system for crystal clear calls, and AI-based real-time translation. It comes in Snow Mountain White, Titanium Gold, and Mirage Black (Wi-Fi version). The Wi-Fi model is priced at CNY 1,499 (₹17,990 approx.), while the standard Bluetooth model costs CNY 1,299 (₹15,590 approx.). The earbuds are already on sale via mi.com in China.
