Xiaomi 15 Series or Redmi 14 5G India Launch Expected in February 2025

Xiaomi’s flagship 15 series made its debut in China in October 2024, but we have yet to see it in international markets like India. On the flip side, the Redmi brand recently launched its latest generation devices in India, the newly launched pro-budget Redmi 14C under the Note 14 series, Now the launch of the 15 series (Xiaomi 15 or Redmi 14 5G) could be right around the corner as per a new leak.

Xiaomi is said to be imposing on launching the Xiaomi 15 series or Redmi 14 5G in India by February 2025, as reported by the popular tipster Abbey Yadav who shared information from a credible source. In China, the Xiaomi 15 series comprises the standard Xiaomi 15 and Xiaomi 15 Pro, however, it’s unclear whether just the Xiaomi 15 and Xiaomi 15 Ultra, or both models, will make their way to India.

To note, the Xiaomi 14 and Xiaomi 14 Ultra were released in India in March of 2024, while the Xiaomi 14 Pro did not make its way to the country. Indeed, both the Chinese and global versions of the Xiaomi 15 Ultra have been confirmed for launch in February. However, we already know India launch details the device has recently received BIS certification. If it’s actually the Redmi 14 5G, however, it’d arrive much sooner than the July 2024 launch window of the Redmi 13 5G.

If this leak turns out correct, we can expect Xiaomi to send out launch teasers on its social channels in the coming days. There are not many details of the Redmi 14 5G, but it is anticipated to cost a little more than the Redmi 14C 5G whose entry-level version covers a ₹9,999 price tag in India. Also, the Redmi 13 5G started from ₹13,999.

The Xiaomi 15 series, which includes the Snapdragon 8 Elite chipset, a 2K display, 50MP triple cameras, an IP68 rating, and 90W wired fast charging, could have a similar setup for the Ultra variant, possibly with a quad-camera system. The Xiaomi 15’s price in China starts at CNY 4,499 (around ₹53,500), while the Pro model costs CNY 5,299 (approximately ₹63,000). For comparison, the Xiaomi 14 and 14 Ultra launched in India at ₹69,999 and ₹99,999, respectively.
