The Xiaomi 15 Pro, a phone that will launch in a few months, may get larger, more advanced camera sensors. The Qualcomm Snapdragon 8 Gen 4 is actually expected to launch later in 2024—possibly in the fall—before the Xiaomi 15 Pro is released.
Xiaomi 15 Pro might launch with a periscope zoom camera details
Per the most recent rumor from the well-known leaker on Weibo, Digital Chat Station, Xiaomi’s 15 Pro may contain a periscope zoom camera. Although Xiaomi’s Ultra hyper-flagships have been the only devices to feature them up until now, there may be a potential that the Pro will eventually have the same technology.
According to the tipster, the new camera module has a square and circular shape and comes with three cameras: a 50MP ultra-wide, a 50MP periscope telephoto lens, and a 50MP ultra-large primary camera. Nevertheless, the Xiaomi 14 Pro’s Samsung JN1 sensor will not be utilized by it. The Xiaomi 15 Pro is expected to keep the same sensor layout, but we may see larger sensors this time.
Interestingly, the 14 Pro utilizes the same Samsung ISOCELL JN1 sensor for both its telephoto and ultrawide cameras, but it will not be used in any capacity.
It is anticipated that the Xiaomi 15 Pro’s telephoto sensor will have periscope technology, just like the Xiaomi 14 Ultra. A 2K micro-curved screen is also expected to be included in the upcoming Xiaomi flagship.
A prior rumor said that the Xiaomi 15 and Xiaomi 15 Pro would have ultrasonic fingerprint scanners. According to Digital Chat Station, a decision has not yet been made on this issue.
