The Xiaomi 15 Pro may have three rear cameras, similar to its predecessor, but with improved sensors, according to a post on Weibo by tipster Experience More. The main shooter, according to the tipster, might be a 50-megapixel OV50K with a 1-inch sensor.
Xiaomi 15 Pro rumoured camera features
According to one report, the Xiaomi 15 Pro’s primary and telephoto photographers will each sport a separate 50 MP sensor.
A telephoto lens update for the Xiaomi 15 Pro is also anticipated. According to the tipster, a 50-megapixel Sony IMX882 sensor might replace the Samsung ISOCELL JN1 sensor. Though the resolution of the Sony sensor is a little below average, the source in the post says that it delivers decent value in terms of power consumption and technical features. In addition, the report mentioned that the aperture size—which is unknown at this time—will determine the final performance.
A noteworthy upgrade from the OVX9000 within the 14 Pro, the 50 MP primary camera will now use a 1″-type OmniVision sensor (OV50K).
Although it hasn’t been formally announced yet, the OmniVision sensor is said to be an improvement over the OV50H, which is currently used in the Motorola Edge 50 Ultra and iQOO 12 series. The Xiaomi 13 Pro, a smartphone manufacturer, was known for including a 1-inch sensor. However, with its sequel, the Light Hunter 900 sensor with a custom Leica Summilux lens was substituted.
