Anticipation is building around the upcoming release of the Xiaomi 14 Ultra, a device that is expected to hit the market in March 2024, slightly ahead of its predecessor, the Xiaomi 13 Ultra, which made its debut in April 2023. Recent developments have added to the excitement, with the International Mobile Equipment Identity (IMEI) database revealing intriguing details about the Xiaomi 14 Ultra.

The Highly Anticipated Xiaomi 14 Ultra

The database showcased entries for two distinct versions of the device: one tailored for the Chinese market, bearing the model number 24030PN60C, and the other designated for the global market, with the model number 24030PN60G. What’s particularly noteworthy is the inclusion of the numeric sequence “2403” in these model numbers, sparking speculation about a potential launch date in March 2024.

Xiaomi follows a consistent trend of introducing its 14 series in a triad of categories: the base model Xiaomi 14, the upgraded Xiaomi 14 Pro, and the premium Xiaomi 14 Ultra. Both the Xiaomi 14 and 14 Pro have already been documented in the IMEI database, sporting model numbers 23127PN0CC/23127PN0CG and 23116PN5BC/23116PN5BG for the Chinese and global variants, respectively. These models are earmarked for a late 2023 launch, possibly around November or December.

Initial reports offer intriguing insights into the Xiaomi 14 Ultra’s potential features. It’s speculated that the device will be powered by Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 platform, and its development codename “Aurora” has been uncovered through MIUI codes. While the exact specifications remain shrouded in secrecy, industry insiders anticipate a device characterized by cutting-edge design, formidable performance capabilities, and advanced camera functionalities.

For context, the Xiaomi 13 Ultra, the immediate predecessor of the upcoming Xiaomi 14 Ultra, boasts an impressive array of features. This includes a 6.73-inch LTPO AMOLED Quad HD+ display with a remarkable 120Hz refresh rate, along with the durability of Gorilla Glass Victus.

Under the hood, it is powered by the Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 chipset and offers configurations of up to 16GB of RAM and 1TB of storage. Its camera system is equally remarkable, featuring a 32MP front camera and a quad-rear camera setup, each sensor boasting 50MP capabilities. Moreover, the device is backed by a robust 5,000mAh battery, supporting both 90W fast charging and 50W wireless charging capabilities.
