Xiaomi has officially revealed the launch date, for the Xiaomi 14 in India. The announcement was made through a post on a social media platform, where the Chinese tech company shared that the Xiaomi 14 will make its debut in India on March 7th. Prior to this, Xiaomi had hinted at collaborating with Leica on their page. The global unveiling of the Xiaomi 14 series is scheduled for February 25th at the Mobile World Congress (MWC) after being introduced in China in October. Additionally, the Xiaomi 14 Ultra is slated to be released in China on February 22nd.
The Upcoming Xiaomi 14
The release of the Xiaomi 14 in India is expected to follow a few weeks after its launch and several months after its initial introduction in China. From hints provided by Xiaomi, it appears that only the standard model of the Xiaomi 14 will be offered in India while models like the Xiaomi 14 Ultra and Pro might not be available there.
In terms of specifications, the Chinese version of the Xiaomi 14 boasts a Snapdragon 8 Gen3 SoC and a 6.36-inch LTPO display with a resolution of up to 1.5K and an adaptive refresh rate of up to 120Hz. It is anticipated that similar specifications will be offered in the variant, including up to 12GB of LPDDR5 RAM and storage options of up to 1TB using UFS4.0 technology.
In terms of the camera arrangement, the Xiaomi 14 created in partnership, with Leica features a 50-megapixel sensor with OIS and a Summilux lens, in the variant. Additionally, it is equipped with a 50-megapixel telephoto camera and another 50-megapixel ultra wide-angle sensor. The device also features an IP68 rating and houses a 4,610mAh battery with support for 90W fast charging and 50W wireless charging.
Xiaomi has also confirmed the impending launch of the Xiaomi 14 Ultra in China later this week. The Ultra variant will come equipped with a 1-inch 50-megapixel Sony LYT900 sensor featuring an f/1.63 aperture and a Leica Summilux optical lens. Additionally, it will feature dual telephoto cameras utilizing 50-megapixel Sony IMX858 sensors.
