Xiaomi 11i series 5G: All you need to know ahead of India launch

Xiaomi is going to launch the Xiaomi 11i series 5G in India on 6th January via Flipkart. After a long time, Xiaomi is launching a smartphone series as a Flipkart Exclusive. The series will feature Xiaomi 11i Hypercharge 5G. This device will come with a display that has a 120Hz refresh rate and 1200 nits peak brightness. As per the company’s claim the phone is cable of charging from 0 to 100% in just 15 minutes.

The series will have two smartphones namely – Xiaomi 11i and Xiaomi 11i Hypercharge 5G. The Hypercharge variant is speculated to be a rebranded version of the Redmi Note 11 Pro+ that was unveiled in China earlier this year.

In a tweet shared by Xiaomi Senior Marketing Manager Sandeep Sarma, he claimed that the Xiaomi 11i Hypercharge will come with a “super bright 1200 nits display” that “supports 120Hz refresh rate”.

The Xiaomi 11i Hypercharge 5G smartphone will be India’s fastest charging smartphone with the power of 120W charging capacity. The landing page on Flipkart shows the design of the smartphone it looks quite similar to the Redmi Note 11 Pro+. The smartphone is shown as a flat body design and comes with a 108MP primary quad-rear camera setup.

If the speculations are correct then the Xiaomi 11i Hpercharge 5G might come with a 4,500mAh battery unit. It also comes with TUV Rheinland certification and a vapor cooling system to keep thermals under check. 

The device will be powered by MediaTek Dimensity 920 chipset with four Arm Cortex-A78 clocked at 2.5GHz and four Arm Cortex-A55 clocked at 2.0GHz. The SoC is built on a 6nm fabrication process. It will sport a 108MP main camera (Samsung HM2) with dual OIS, an 8MP ultra-wide, and a 2MP tele-macro camera. It also houses a 16MP selfie snapper. There will be a 6.67-inch Samsung AMOLED display with a 120Hz screen refresh rate and 360Hz touch sampling rate on the front. The display will be protected by Corning Gorilla Glass Victus.
