There has been a lot of speculation on Xavi Simons’ future after his standout performances with RB Leipzig this season. After joining the Bundesliga club on loan, the young forward has become an important part of the team, scoring nine goals and providing 15 assists in 42 appearances across all competitions.

As things stand, he is set to return to PSG in June once his loan move expires. And after that, there is a chance that he could go out on loan once again. A permanent transfer away is currently ruled out, but could open up if the player sees his future away from Paris.

RB Leipzig are keen on bringing the player back for another spell, but cannot afford to sign him permanently. Several Premier League clubs are also keeping tabs on the situation to try and sign the 21-year-old. But ultimately, Xavi Simons will have a large say in where he ends up playing next season.

His former youth club, Barcelona, have also been linked with a potential move. However, the club’s tight financial situation might prevent them from being able to bring him back.

With Kylian Mbappe announcing his departure from PSG, there is also the possibility of the youngster finally becoming a key member of the senior squad. A final decision on the matter will be taken by PSG in the summer when the transfer window opens.
