Impact on Fans

Many WWE fans are concerned about potential major changes with the organization. For example, UFC charges $79.99 for its pay-per-view events, while WWE offers monthly special events at no extra cost as part of their streaming service, which starts at $5 per month. Another concern is regarding the future role of WWE chief content officer Triple H, who has been directly involved in booking WWE’s storylines. According to a leaked internal email, Triple H will remain in his role, at least for now.

What’s Next?

WWE-UFC Merger: It’s unclear what this merger will actually mean for the fans of WWE and UFC. The two companies seem like a good fit in substance and culture, and some athletes have already crossed over between pro wrestling and MMA, like Ronda Rousey and Brock Lesnar. Only time will tell how this merger will affect the world of sports entertainment.

In the meantime, UFC star Conor McGregor and WWE’s Paul Heyman are trading blows on social media. McGregor recently teased a move to professional wrestling in the future, while Heyman labeled him a “wannabe” of WWE’s Roman Reigns. McGregor hit back, suggesting it’s better for Heyman’s health if he kept his mouth shut.
