In the heart of India’s sunshine state, Goa, an international ranking table tennis tournament is making waves. The WTT Star Contender Goa, known as India’s biggest international ranking table tennis tournament, has successfully brought together ten significant partners to raise the tournament’s visibility, enhance fan engagement, and elevate its prominence to unprecedented levels.

Currently being held at the Peddem Indoor Stadium in Mapusa, Goa, this edition of the tournament will wrap up on Sunday, marking another milestone in India’s sporting landscape.

This prestigious tournament is a joint venture between Stupa Sports Analytics, a global leader in sports analytics, and Ultimate Table Tennis (UTT), India’s top-tier table tennis league. Guided by the Table Tennis Federation of India (TTFI), these entities have come together to create an unparalleled sporting event that stands testament to the growing popularity of table tennis in India.

Stepping into the dynamic world of table tennis, Parimatch Sports, a recognized sportswear brand, has joined the tournament as the official presenting partner. In addition, Goa Tourism, committed to promoting and developing the sport of table tennis, has taken on the mantle of the principal partner. Further supporting the event are the Sports Authority of Goa and the Government of Goa, highlighting their commitment to fostering sports in the state.

Megha Gambhir, co-founder and CEO of Stupa Sports Analytics, reflected on the significance of these partnerships, saying, “WTT Star Contender Goa is instrumental in bringing table tennis to the forefront of the Indian sports scene. These partnerships underscore the thriving state of table tennis in the country and the exciting future that awaits the sport. We believe that our strategic alliances will help build a sustainable ecosystem for the growth of table tennis in India.”

Echoing her sentiments, UTT co-promoter Vita Dani expressed gratitude towards the tournament’s sponsors, citing their significant contributions to the growth of table tennis and enhancing the overall experience for fans and players alike.

Adding a dash of gourmet delight to the event is India’s leading popcorn brand, 4700BC, which has come on board as the official snacking partner. Meanwhile, Decathlon, the world’s largest sporting goods retailer, has joined as the official sports retail partner, providing top-quality sporting gear to players and fans.

To further enhance the tournament’s reach, Mera Hoardings, a programmatic advertising platform for Out-of-Home (OOH) advertising across multiple countries, has partnered as the official outdoor media partner.

The tournament features a star-studded lineup of top global players, including World No. 6 Hugo Calderano, last edition’s runner-up Cheng I-Ching (WR 18), and former World No. 1 Dimitrij Ovtcharov (WR 12). They are competing for glory at India’s biggest international table tennis tournament, which boasts a $250,000 prize pool.

Leading the home challenge are India’s table tennis stars, Manika Batra, Achanta Sharath Kamal, Harmeet Desai, and Sathiyan Gnanasekaran.
