Wrexham have released eleven players following their promotion to League Two. The squad recently had a holiday in Las Vegas, the costs of which were covered by co-owners Ryan Reynolds and Rob McElhenney.

They set a record of achieving 111 points in the National League, and are set for a massive squad overhaul. Anthony Forde, Mark Howard and Paul Mullin, who scored 38 goals for the club this past summer, have extended their contracts by a year.

Ryan Austin, Malik Dijksteel, Jake Hyde, Rory Watson, Tom Jenkins, Dan Jones, Louis Lloyd and Will Mountfield have all been released alongside former Burnley goalkeeper Kai Calderbank-Park and ex-Norwich defender Reece Hall-Johnson.

Harry Lennon will be retiring from football after injuries, having revealed the decision recently.

The future of Ben Foster remains uncertain, with the former Premier League goalkeeper coming out of retirement for Wrexham. Talks are set to be held with him in order to ascertain his plans, which are still open as things stand.

The club has a big summer ahead of them to detail their transfer plans in order to bolster the squad. The aim is to perform well in League Two, but that will require investment in order to improve the quality of the team.
