Mumbai Indians won the toss and chose to bat first. They got off to a good start, with an opening partnership of 43 runs between Priya Punia and Jemimah Rodrigues. However, UP Warriorz quickly got two wickets in quick succession, dismissing Punia and Rodrigues for 19 and 24 runs, respectively. The middle order performed well, with Anuja Patil scoring 23 runs and Sciver-Brunt’s unbeaten knock of 72 runs. Mumbai Indians finished their innings at 182/4.

In response, UP Warriorz struggled to build partnerships and lost wickets at regular intervals. Navgire tried to anchor the innings, but she lacked support from the other end. No other player scored more than 16 runs, and UP Warriorz were bowled out for 110 runs.

Mumbai Indians’ bowling was exceptional, with Wong’s four-wicket haul, including a hat-trick, being the highlight of the match. Ishaque took two dismissals, while Matthews and Patil got one each.
