The announcement coincides with the release of iOS 14.4.2, which is the latest OS for iPhone models with at least A12 Bionic chips. Most notably, iOS 18 will be available for iPhone XR, iPhone XS, and iPhone XS Max. The regular A10 Fusion chip in the regular sixth-generation iPad will no longer be supported, either.
