If you’re frustrated that your PlayStation 4 or 5 isn’t accepting the one-year extension you just purchased, take a deep breath and relax. For the time being, Sony has placed pre-order subscriptions on hold. People have been abusing a loophole to get significant savings on PlayStation Plus (PS+) Premium far into the future, prompting the temporary stoppage.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

When Sony announced its PS+ reorganisation last month, many users wondered what would happen to their existing subscription time. The existing plans would be migrated to the new tiers, according to Sony’s FAQ. Those who only have PlayStation Plus will be upgraded to the $60 PlayStation Plus Essential level. Those who already have PS+ and PS Now, both of which cost $60 per year, will be automatically upgraded to the new PS+ Premium plan, which costs $120 per year.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Sony confirms that they have blocked stacking PS+\/PS Now codes for existing members prior to the new PS+ launch. The codes will be redeemable after the launch.
