The Red team announced its Ryzen 5000 series processors last year based on their new Zen 3 architecture, and we were very fortunate to review all of them till now. Today we have got the AMD Ryzen 9 5900X with us that is said to be the gaming champion of the CPU market.

Featuring 12 Zen 3 cores, this 7 nm-based CPU is a great contender for both gaming & productivity. The redesigned cache, new core layout, and a lot of new improvements have helped AMD to beat Intel or get close to them in single-core performance.

Even Intel’s new Rocket Lake-S desktop CPUs cannot give better gaming performance on average with AMD’s Ryzen 9 5900X while costing more and the Core i9-1100K featuring 4 fewer cores. Or, if you need just gaming performance, you can look out for both the Ryzen 7 5800X and the Ryzen 5 5600X processors which are available widely now.

The least available CPU at moment has to be the AMD Ryzen 9 5950X, which we also reviewed; however, honestly, it depends on your usage and needs. Even though we will make a dedicated article on which CPU you should opt for, we will talk about the gaming champion AMD Ryzen 9 5900X.

Specifications
