Reliance-backed Viacom 18 has bagged the media rights for streaming the FIFA World Cup Qatar 2022 matches in India. They will be broadcasting the matches on Sports18 and Sports18 HD TV channels.

However, the most interesting part is that you will be able to live stream the matches on your phones, tablets, laptops or desktops for FREE. They have decided to live stream the matches on JioCinema. It doesn’t require any subscription to watch the matches. You can download the JioCinema app or watch it on the JioCinema website for free. Surprisingly, it is not only limited to Jio customers but if you use Vi, Airtel or BSNL, you will also still be able to live stream the matches.

FIFA World Cup Qatar 2022: Where are the matches?

The biggest football tournament is about to start on 20th November 2022 with hosts Qatar taking on Ecuador. The group stage will continue till 2nd December 2022 with the Round of 16 scheduled for 3rd-7th December.

The quarter-finals of the FIFA World Cup Qatar 2022 will be from 9th-11th December and the semifinals taking place on 14th and 15th December. The third place match is on 17th December and the final of the mega event will be on 18th December.

The World Cup 2022 matches will be played at eight stadiums in Qatar:

  2. Al Bayt Stadium
  3. Ras Abu Aboud Stadium
  4. Al Thumama Stadium
  5. Education City Stadium
  6. Ahmed bin Ali Stadium
  7. Khalifa International Stadium
  8. Al Janoub Stadium
