The first trailer of Wonka showcasing Timothée Chalamet in the titular role of the whimsical chocolatier was released on July 11. Furthermore, from the expressions of it, fans of Roald Dahl’s 1964 book Charlie Besides the Chocolate Factory are in for a lovely adventure filled with music, and magic, besides a small amount of mystery.
The character of Willy Wonka has stood played previously by Gene Wilder in the innovative 1971 movie grounded on the book and by Johnny Depp in Tim Burton’s 2005 remake. However, this movie writer-director Paul King has taken a diverse path by going into the backstory of the iconic atmosphere from the book.
What is The Story of Wonka?
The story trails a young Willy before he opens his wondrous chocolate workshop as was described in the books and the initial two film adaptations.
The trailer jumps with Willy arriving at a massive city with his companion, played by Calah Lane. He expects to start a chocolate business after consuming “seven years traveling the creation perfecting” the art. However, he faces a chocolate cartel bent on averting him from opening his shop.
Willy then gets an idea — make a bar of chocolate that lets people levitate. That causes hilarious states but also puts Willy on the path to fulfilling his daydream.
The trailer ends with Willy meeting an Oompa Loompa, amuse yourself by Hugh Grant, who is imprisoned inside a glass jar.

The trailer of the upcoming musical stood first shown exclusively to attendees at CinemaCon 2023, apprehended in Las Vegas, Nevada, from 24 to April 27.
Awarding the event trailer, Chalamet said it is about “a Willy that’s complete of joy and optimism and hopes to develop the greatest chocolatier of all time.”
