Wolves have decided to sack manager Bruno Lage after a difficult start to the season. The team lost their most recent outing against West Ham United at the London Stadium by a 2-0 scoreline. And that has made the board pull the trigger.

The Midlands club are currently in the relegation zone, having picked up only six points from eight games. They have only won one game so far, which was against Southampton by a 1-0 scoreline.

The Portuguese replaced Nuno Espirito Santo at Wolves, who left for Spurs. And now, he will be replaced following a poor run of form for the team. The next candidate will be chosen and announced soon by the club, and an interim manager will also be appointed before the next permanent manager takes over.

The official statement confirming the departure of Bruno Lage can be expected in the coming days. One of the primary reasons behind it has been his inability to get the best out of new signings like Diego Costa, Goncalo Guedes and Matheus Nunes.

It now remains to be seen who will be appointed as the next manager for the club, and whether it will help their ambitions to finish in the top half at least.
