With the release of One UI 6.1 this year, Samsung introduced Galaxy AI features for the Galaxy S24 series. Later, the Tab S9 series, Z Fold5, Z Flip5, and Galaxy S23 series were included in the functionality.
According to an announcement last month, the features would be available in early May for the Galaxy S22 series, Z Fold4, Z Flip4, and Tab S8 series. The Galaxy S22 series is among the other smartphones in the US that the company has started to roll out the capability to.
Features added after the One UI 6.1 update
- Google Circle to Search: This feature makes it easier for users to conduct more natural searches by letting them look for information right within a pre-designated region of the screen.
- AI-Powered Chat Assistant: Using Large Language Models (LLMs) to deliver real-time assistance during chats, the update incorporates an AI-powered chat assistant.
- Live Translation: One UI 6.1 goes beyond translation features by providing live translation for phone conversations, improving multilingual communication.
- Advanced Text Processing: To ensure correctness in written communication, the upgrade includes a more potent spelling and grammar checker.
- Smart Summarization: The Auto Summary feature in Samsung Voice Recorder, Notes, and Internet applications helps to efficiently examine information by condensing it.
According to Samsung, these functions will be released through an update. The upgrade for the Galaxy S21 series has already begun to roll out in Europe, so we can anticipate that these devices will soon receive an update that adds the functionality globally.
