The youngster joined United’s academy in 2020 from French club Sochaux for a fee worth €4 million. And after making his debut for the senior team this past season amidst their injury crisis at centre-back, he is all set to move to Spain for more game time.
Willy Kambwala ended up making 15 Premier League appearances for Erik Ten Hag’s side by the end of the season, racking up over 1,000 minutes. His season ended with an FA Cup win as Ten Hag won his second trophy as the manager of the club.
It’ll be interesting to see how the 19-year-old fares at his new club, having already received his first taste of senior football with United.
