The 32-year-old joined Chelsea from Anzhi Makhachkala for £30m in 2013. In these seven seasons at Chelsea, Willian has been a very important player. He has helped the club to win 2 Premier League titles and 1 Europa League trophy.

Willian joined Arsenal on a free transfer for three years this summer. The Brazilian wears the No 12 shirt at the Emirates.

He is still adjusting to life at Arsenal but has been impressed with Mikel Arteta’s mindset.

Willian told Globo Esporte: “It’s been a cool, new experience. I hadn’t worked with a coach with that mindset.”

“The positional game doesn’t mean that you have no freedom on the pitch, you have the freedom to move, but many times you have to respect the position, what the coach asks, the instructions, understanding that it’ll be better for the team.”

“It may happen that you don’t touch the ball and get frustrated, but Mikel always says that wait a minute, the ball will arrive. I’ve been learning a lot.”

Willian will be hoping to help Arteta in rebuilding this Arsenal side and make them a title contender once again.
