## The Hawk Cast — Every Name You Need to Know

Will Ferrell leads as Lonnie ‘The Hawk’ Hawkins — a once-celebrated PGA champion, now proud, stubborn, and refusing to accept his decline after the death of his longtime caddy Old Henry forces him to face his loneliness and mounting debts.

Molly Shannon plays Stacy, Lonnie’s sharp-tongued ex-wife — tired of his empty promises and financial neglect, determined to reclaim her independence and push to sell their shared beach house for good.

Jimmy Tatro plays Lance, Lonnie’s disciplined rising-star son — already claiming multiple tour wins, laser-focused, and contrasting sharply with his father’s reckless decline.

Luke Wilson plays a rival pro golfer who has beaten Lonnie for the tour championship twice. [FirstShowing.net](https://www.firstshowing.net/2026/first-look-teaser-for-man-on-fire-series-feat-yahya-abdul-mateen-ii/) Rounding out the ensemble are Fortune Feimster as a new caddie, Chris Parnell as an all-around jerk PGA board member, and David Hornsby as Stacy’s new partner.

## Why *The Hawk* Could Be Netflix’s Comedy of the Year

The series is produced by Ferrell’s company Gloria Sanchez Productions, with executive producers including *Knives Out* director Rian Johnson and filmmaker David Gordon Green. [FirstShowing.net](https://www.firstshowing.net/2026/first-look-teaser-for-man-on-fire-series-feat-yahya-abdul-mateen-ii/) That’s not a throwaway streaming comedy lineup — that’s a prestige comedy machine.

The show was first announced at the Netflix Upfront in 2024 and filmed entirely between September and December 2025.

The [sports comedy](https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Sports_comedy) genre rarely gets a cast this stacked — and with Ferrell in full underdog mode, this one has the potential to be one of the most rewatchable Netflix originals in years.
