According to a source of the Daily Mail:

‘I’m told from a reliable source that he is in a safe house that Everton got him and he is being supported 24/7.’

A 31-year old Everton player has been arrested on suspicion of child sex offences. The millionaire footballer, who also plays for his country – had his home raided by police and was arrested on Friday.

The Manchester police released this statement following the arrest and have not added to it yet:

‘Officers arrested a man on Friday, July 16 2021 on suspicion of child sex offences. He is on police bail pending further enquiries.’

Everton, too, have refrained from elaborating on their statement and have not yet named the player. ‘We can confirm we have suspended a first-team player pending a police investigation. ‘The club will continue to support the authorities with their inquiries and will not be making any further statement at this time.’

As per the report released by Mail, the player returned to Merseyside after allegations against him surfaced. It was mistakenly rumoured that the player charged was Fabian Delph. However, that has been proven wrong. They further go on to state that it is unlikely that charges will be pressed against the player, who is a household name in his own country and has endorsed products in his name, which have since been removed.
