Ever wonder why your EV hums? It’s not a glitch—it’s the Acoustic Vehicle Alerting System (AVAS). Because electric motors are near-silent, this tech creates a synthetic “spaceship” tone to warn pedestrians and cyclists of your approach below 20 km/h. It’s a mandatory safety feature globally, and no, you cannot turn it off. Drive safe, stay heard, and keep the streets futuristic.
