Back in 2017, Adobe declared the end of their support for the Flash browser plug-in by the end of 2020. It’s January 2021 now, so, the company officially ending the software support and they will start the blocking process for the contents running on Flash Player on 12th January. Adobe Flash, most of the time suffered from various kinds of vulnerabilities that exposed a maximum of its users to various cybersecurity risks as well as malware. Major websites shifted earlier from Adobe Flash only for this reason and users hardly get affected by this support discontinuation.

The co-founder and former CEO of Apple, Steve Jobs criticized Flash along with the other Adobe software back in 2010 regarding unreliability, incompatibility, and battery draining issues of them.

Alongside the discontinuation of the official support and vulnerabilities, the company itself recommended all the users to uninstall and remove the software “to protect their systems.”
