Hey K-drama fans! It looks like our resident “action star” won’t be stepping into the boxing ring just yet. Fresh news confirmed today, May 21, 2026, that **Park Ji-hoon** has officially declined the lead role in the upcoming tvN sports drama, *Promoter* (working title). While we were all hyped to see him transform into a genius boxer, the star has other massive plans in the works.

## **The Official Rejection: Why he’s skipping “Promoter”**

After months of being “in talks,” his agency, **YY Entertainment**, released a statement confirming that Park Ji-hoon ultimately passed on the project. In *Promoter*, he was offered the role of Jang Jung Gu, a talented but struggling WBC light flyweight boxer. Although he reportedly underwent intense training to prepare for the role, the timing likely clashed with his skyrocketing career elsewhere.
