Inter Milan have failed to sign two of their key transfer targets, with Paulo Dybala joining Roma. On the other hand, Gleison Bremer has chosen to join rivals Juventus as the replacement for Matthijs De Ligt, who moved to Bayern Munich.
The Nerazzurri were close to signing the Argentine on a free transfer after he left the Bianconeri. However, they were unable to agree terms over a severance package with Alexis Sanchez. And this put their transfer talks with Paulo Dybala on hold. Given the opportunity, Roma and Jose Mourinho swooped in and signed their man.
Paulo Dybala and Gleison Bremer – Inter Milan let two key targets slip
The Coppa Italia winners offered a €30 million deal plus Cesare Casadei for Bremer to Torino. But, the offer from Juventus which consisted of €40 million plus €7 million in add-ons was considered instead.
The black and blue club were also expected to offload Edin Dzeko or Joaquin Correa. But, they have not been able to sell either. Instead, they have signed Romelu Lukaku on loan from Chelsea. With so many players in the squad, it wasn’t possible for the club to go in and sign more.
With Bremer on his way to Juventus, it now remains to be seen whether Milan Skriniar will be sold to PSG. The French giants have been in talks for the Serbian all summer, and are yet to reach an agreement. And with their foremost replacement gone, Inter will probably reassess the situation before doing business.
