Manchester City’s relentless pursuit of the next generation of talent has struck again. According to transfer insider Fabrizio Romano, the Premier League giants have agreed a deal to sign 15-year-old midfielder Darren Motsi from Leicester City, bringing one of England’s most talked-about young prospects into their long-term development project.

## A Rapid Rise Through the Ranks

Despite his age, Motsi has already made waves at Leicester, earning promotion to the club’s Under-21 squad in Premier League 2 and making 15 appearances at that level — a significant achievement for a player barely into his teens. That swift progression through Leicester’s academy system is precisely what caught City’s attention first, before a formal agreement was reached between the two clubs.

Motsi’s arrival adds to Manchester City’s growing reputation for identifying elite young talent early, continuing a recruitment philosophy built around long-term development rather than instant impact.
