Who is Bipin Singh, the Hero of the Match in the ISL 2020-21 final?

Bipin Singh was the man of the match in the final of ISL 20/21 and scored the winner for Mumbai City FC as they clinched their maiden ISL title whilst completing the domestic double. The winger only recently turned 26 years old, having celebrated his birthday on the 10th, and what a birthday gift life has given him.Β

Born in 1995 in Manipur, Singh used to play for Shillong Lajong in the I League before the introduction of the ISL. In the I League, Singh made 34 appearances and scored a solitary goal before being drafted to ATK in 2017. He then joined Mumbai City after his stint with ATK, and rather symbolically, scored against them to deny them the trophy that they seemed to be the favourites to win.

The move to the new club was not as smooth as it seems, and it took until the appointment of Sergio Lobera for the winger to be established as a designated starter for the double winners.

Bipin Singh managed to score the most important goal of his career against ATK Mohun Bagan and was the reason why the match ended at 90 minutes as he stole the match and the trophy from his former rebranded club.
