WhatsApp is rolling out a new feature 'View Once' for Desktops to send photos and videos

The “View Once” function for desktop users of WhatsApp is being brought back. Last year, they briefly deleted the “View Once” option from the Web version after hearing from users and addressing their complaints.

Similar to Snapchat, WhatsApp users can share short-lived media that won’t be saved to the recipient’s gallery by using the “view once” option. This function is especially useful when transferring sensitive or confidential material because it ensures that the media can only be seen temporarily and cannot be permanently stored on the recipient’s device.

Notably, you may activate the app’s “Disappearing Messages” feature if you don’t want your chats to use data.
