The future of Donny Van De Beek at Old Trafford has been a question for a long time. The Dutch midfielder joined Manchester United from Ajax last summer. Since his joining, he did not get enough game time to show his full potential. But he showed his presence and became influential every time he was on the field.
He scored in his Premier League debut against Crystal Palace after coming on as a substitute. But since then, he did not perform as per his potential.
When Manchester United signed him, it was expected that he would be exciting to see alongside Bruno Fernandes, Paul Pogba in the midfield. Van De Beek was excellent in his time at Ajax. But he failed to deliver the same at Old Trafford.
The injury and lack of game time have made the situation worse for him. Currently, it is almost impossible to get the chance in the first XI for him. According to some reports, he is looking for some other club for a move next summer.
However, Donny Van De Beek recently denied all the rumours of his transfer. He even told his agent that he wants to stay at Old Trafford and he wants to fight for his place in the team. He also said that the teammates and other coaching staff are very much friendly to him.
Manchester United fans also hope that he gets back his form very quickly. If Paul Pogba leaves the club next summer, then he can become a replacement which Manchester United will be needed.
