At last, Marvel Studios has dropped the trailer of the most awaited animated series What If…? That has been promised to represent an alternative takes to the dozens of characters that depict the films’ interconnected universe and shows in the MCU. As the name of the series implies, that will represent completely different versions of the MCU.
It mainly focuses on the unknown stories from the main Marvel Cinematic Universe characters experiencing several fates and storylines that they have faced naturally. The trailer starts with the early scene of Iron Man, but Tony Stark has been captured by a crew of terrorists rescued by Kilmonger from “Black Panther”.
In the different roles, we have seen several new characters included with Black Panther, collaborate with Yondu, and Peggy carter has taken the role of Captain Carter, the British version of Captain America. You will also see zombies in the trailer.
This series is mainly featuring with some individual stories that have been dedicated to the huge changes in the MCU. It has answered many questions like, “If Peggy Carter was chosen to get the serum of the Super Soldier instead of Steve Rogers?” or “What if Yondu was kidnapped T’Challa instead of Peter Quill after visiting Earth?”
It will also depict the Watcher who will become voiced by Jeffrey Wright. In the comic book, we will see watchers as the aliens looking over Marvel’s multiverse and have monitored the events. It is completely different from the reference of the Time Keepers in “Loki”.
It is still unknown if the timeline interferes then what is going on in the storyline of the MCU. Still, the multiverse indicates “Loki” and “WandaVision”, which is like all these stories are happening to an alternate timeline or reality but could not impact the events in the MCU.
Cast
We will also see some major Marvel actors who are reprising their roles for this series, including Chris Hemsworth, Mark Ruffalo, Paul Rudd, Sebastian Stan, Jeremy Renner, Tom Hiddleston and also the late Chadwick Boseman.
