West Ham United are closing in on an agreement with Ajax for the transfer of Mohammed Kudus. The Ghanian is expected to make the move for a fee worth €45 million, with a total agreement almost in place between the two clubs.
The Premier League’s Brighton and Chelsea were also interested in signing the midfielder, but West Ham United have won the race to sign the midfielder and are expected to seal the deal imminently. Kudus recently confirmed that he could have played his last game for the record Eredivisie winners, and also commented on West Ham United as a club.
Mohammed Kudus to sign for West Ham United
“Yes, I think it was my final game here at Ajax. But let’s see what happens in the next few days,” Kudus recently said after scoring a hat-trick.
“The talks are going on. We have to see if an agreement is reached in the next few days”.
Kudus has spent three years with Ajax since his move from Nordsjaelland and has made 86 appearances, scoring 24 goals and providing 12 assists. He has helped the team win the Eredivisie in two of the three years.
West Ham United have sprung to life in the transfer window after the sales of Declan Rice and Gianluca Scamacca. They have signed Edson Alvarez and James Ward-Prowse to bolster their midfield and are now expected to sign Mohammed Kudus to compete in Europe next season again.
