The procedures you must take in order to apply for a West Bengal Ration Card are listed below:
1. Go to the West Bengal Department of Food and Supplies’ official website.
2. The link labeled “Application Form for Non-Subsidised Ration Card or Conversion to Non-Subsidised Ration Card” will appear as you scroll down. Press the button.
3. Your 10-digit cellphone number will need to be entered on a new page that opens.
4. You will receive an OTP (one-time password) on the phone number you registered. Click ‘VALIDATE’ after entering the OTP.
5. If you already have a ration card, you will need to select one of the following options: AAY, PHH, SPHH, RKSY-I, or RKSY-II Card. This step comes after you have verified your cell number. You are not obligated to select any of the above options if this is your first time applying for a ration card.
6. If you are an existing client and would like to change your current digital card to a non-subsidized ration card, select one of the following options: AAY, PHH, SPHH, RKSY-I, or RKSY-II Card.
7. Enter your ration card number, PIN code, email address, district, block/municipality, gram panchayat, post office, police station, flat number, street lane, and email address in the following step. To view the information, click ‘DISPLAY’.
8. Your family members’ details will appear on the screen. once that, click “View Selected List” once you have chosen to convert all or some of the card members to non-subsidized ration cards.
9. After that, you must provide information about the chosen ration card, including your date of birth, Aadhaar number, EPIC number (if available), and PAN number, and click “Save and View.”
10. After that, you’ll need to check the declaration form and confirm all the information you submitted. Once the summary is complete, click “Submit.” You will see a confirmation message on your computer screen after your application form has been successfully submitted.
11. Select the ‘New Applicant -Don’t have a ration card’ option from the screen if you are a new applicant.
12. Choose the Fair Price Shop/ Ration Dealer information by entering the district, block/municipality, gram panchayat, post office, police station, flat number, street lane, PIN Code, email ID, and paper category.
13. After that, you’ll need to provide your personal information, including your date of birth, Aadhaar number, EPIC number (if applicable), email address, and PAN number from the ration card you’ve chosen. After inputting your mother’s and father’s information, select “Show Member.”
Click on ‘Head’ under the relationship’ category if you are the family head. You can select ‘Add Family Members’ and provide the relevant information, like the member’s name, relationship to you, age, etc. Select ‘Show Member’ to view the information.
14. Select the ‘Save and View Application’ option after adding each member.
15. Check the declaration form and confirm all the information you have provided. Once the summary is complete, click “Submit.” You will see a confirmation message on your computer screen after your application form has been successfully submitted.
If you would want to apply for a new ration card or renew your expired one, you can also visit the closest Seva Kendra or ration shop with all the required paperwork. You must complete the application and attach the required supporting documentation before submitting it.
The replacement ration card will then be mailed to your communication address after your documents are checked to make sure they are accurate. Alternatively, you can print off the application form from the internet, fill it out, and download it. After that, you can go to the Seva Kendra that is closest to you and turn in the paperwork.
