New tablet with 6 GB RAM, Android 11 including Google Mobile services, SOTI certification and protection against all environmental influences presented
Pforzheim, 1. February 2022 – With the Rocktab S208, WEROCK Technologies GmbH, an innovative manufacturer of rugged tablets, notebooks and mobile computers, introduces a new tablet for working under difficult operating conditions. With a scratch-resistant, bright display, resistance to military standard MIL-STD-810G and resistance to water and dust to IP67, the Rocktab S208 is ideally suited for outdoor work. At the same time, the lightweight tablet hides the latest technology.
The Rocktab S208 is suitable for indoor and outdoor use. It defies harsh environments and is designed for working on machines, technical equipment and outdoors. The rugged 8″ industrial tablet features a scratch-resistant, bright display with a gesture-enabled touchscreen, withstands drops from over 1.2 meters and withstands temperatures from -10 to +50 degrees Celsius. Shock, vibration, and drop resistance, as well as IP67 water and dust resistance, allow the tablet to shine under any circumstances. Nevertheless, the Rocktab S208 weighs only 680 grams and has a depth of only 21 mm, which enables ergonomic working and professional use under rough conditions.
But the new tablet from WEROCK also has a lot to offer on the inside. For fast and efficient work, it has the MediaTek Helio P60 processor, 6 GB RAM working memory, 128 GB integrated memory (expandable up to 640 GB) and a 22 Wh battery for a runtime of up to eight hours. Thus, it manages a complete workday effortlessly and without recharging the battery in between.
In logistical processes, the user is supported by an optionally available powerful 2D barcode scanner. The connection to measuring devices, printers, scanners or headsets is realized via USB 2.0 and USB C ports as well as a Bluetooth 4.2 interface. Furthermore, the industrial tablet has a 13-megapixel rear camera and an integrated GPS for positioning. Docking stations and other accessories are available for more individual adaptations to the workplace.
For integration into the work environment, the new tablet is connected with dual-band WLAN 802.11 a/b/g/n/ac. In addition, it is not only NFC-enabled but also certified for SOTI MobiControl. This enables seamless integration into any system environment, supporting fast and efficient work. On the road, an integrated 4G LTE module ensures an uninterrupted connection. The tablet is equipped with Android 11 including Google Mobile services, which makes the Rocktab S208 state-of-the-art and convenient to download numerous apps.
