The hit tag looked within reach after a strong opening week, but Welcome to the Jungle’s second week has put that dream on hold. The Akshay Kumar starrer added Rs. 29 crore in Week 2, taking its two-week India total to Rs. 121.25 crore nett.

## A Steep Second-Week Drop

The film fell nearly 70% from Week 1 to Week 2 — a much sharper decline than genre rival Bhooth Bangla, which held up with under a 50% drop. The first five days were solid, but business turned ordinary from the second Wednesday onward, and Dhamaal 4’s release this week is expected to squeeze its remaining screens further.

## Welcome to the Jungle: Week-by-Week Collections

| Period | Collection |
| --- | --- |
| Week 1 | Rs. 92.25 crore |
| 2nd Friday | Rs. 4.25 crore |
| 2nd Saturday | Rs. 7.00 crore |
| 2nd Sunday | Rs. 8.75 crore |
| 2nd Monday | Rs. 2.35 crore |
| 2nd Tuesday | Rs. 3.00 crore |
| 2nd Wednesday | Rs. 1.90 crore |
| 2nd Thursday | Rs. 1.75 crore |

## A Success, But Not a Hit

Trade trackers now expect the film to close around Rs. 135 crore nett — short of both Bhooth Bangla’s Rs. 170 crore and Housefull 5’s Rs. 168 crore. The silver lining: Welcome to the Jungle was made on a comparatively reasonable budget, so despite the grosses falling short of the franchise’s brand value, the film should still land as a commercial success rather than a flop.

The third installment in a franchise that began in 2007, Welcome to the Jungle was released theatrically on 26 June 2026, bringing Akshay Kumar back to one of Bollywood’s most enduring comedy series.
