Saudi Arabia Banned FIFA Streaming

Saudi Arabia arbitarily has blocked  the access of FIFA World Cup's official streaming service as international news agency AFP reported on Sunday. Tod TV  is the broadcaster in Qatari beIN Media Group, got banned due to the dispute of two nations. In 2021, they were allowed once again.

beIN Statement

beIN stated, " Due to matters beyond our control , we are experiencing an outage in the kingdom of Saudi Arabia, which is currently impacting TOD.tv, the official streaming partner of the information will be provided as soon as it is available,"

Tod TV

Tod TV is mainly an official World Cup streaming service in 24 Middle eastern and  North African countries.

Fans in Saudi Arabia

Saudi  subscribers exploits with anger as they have not been able to access the service since the World Cup on 20th November. The error message is, " Sorry, the requested page is violating the regulations of the Ministry of Media,"

Subscriber's Demand

One subscriber told  AFP, " I want my money," by including that attempts  to get a refund for the service that costs about 300 Saudi riyals (Aprox. $80) per month.

Saudi Prince's Contribution

The crown prince Mohammed bin Salman of Saudi Arabia orchestrated a regional boycott of Qatar starting in June 2017. On that same month he got ascended into the throne. Saudi Arabia, the UAE, Bahrain , and Egupt tied up with Doha over the allegations too close to Iran.

At that time of boycott, beIN Media  Group was barred from operating in Saudi  Arabia.
