UPI close Unlimited Transactions?

In India Users soon become unable to make unlimited transactions through PhonePe, Google Pay, and other UPI payment.

NPCI Collaborates with RBI for Limiting Volume Cap

The National Payments Corporation of India is still working with Reserve Bank of India to implement it's proposed 31st Dec deadline for limiting the volume cap for  third party application providers.

Transaction Limit Till Now

There is no transaction limit on UPI-based applications like GPay, PhonePe, and Paytm

NPCI's RBI Proposal

To avoid concentration risk NPCI can sent a proposal of a 30% volume cap in November 2022 that desires the RBI to approve.

No Such Decisions to Curb UPI Transaction Limit

We have no such decision has taken in regard to curb transaction limit on UPI applications.

Stakeholders on Extending Deadline

Some stakeholders industry consecutively want NPCI to extend the deadline for limiting UPI transactions and this is to examine currently.

Some reports claiming that the problem of market cap implementation getting resolved at the end of this month

We are expecting that there will be more clarity on whether UPI transaction limit can be capped at the end of November

NPCI First Proposal in 2020

At first NPCI proposed to cap the volume of transaction at 30 percent return in 2020. The expected market cap was later  extended and UPI applications are like PhonePe and Google Pay had given minimum two more years to comply.
