The Indore based hyperlocal OTT platform STAGE invoke themselves as 'cockroach' founders. The OTT start-ip has come on Shark Tank (Season 2).

In 2018, while 87 million Facebook getting overwhelmed with data without any consent  by a British consulting firm Cambridge Analytica. At this time the trio Vinay Singhal, Parveen Singhal, and Shashank Vaishnav lost their Es.300 crore content start-up WittyFeed.

Shashank Vaishnav, the co-founder CTO of SYAGE said," Most of our  traffic was dependent on Facebook with a majority chunk coming  from the USA, more than 60 million users are from there. In November 2018, Mark Zuckerberg stuck in legal battles due to Cambridge anlytica and  we got blocked. STAGE is our comeback."

STAGE- Recovery

STAGE has now shifted to Baharat. the start-up shares with local artists in India. Apart from the regional language  OTTs also  seeking attention as the Start-Up claims for content in several dialects  in  Rajasthan and Haryana

STAGE-USP

Singhal claimed, there are total 50 OTT platforms in regional based comtent. Dialects noy have their  own scripts, cinema or literature, while Haryana has 11  different dialects, Bhojpuri along splen by 100 mllion people. STAGE decides to make a platform for local artists

After  getting more opportunities, STAGE has faced  the challenges  for funding winter, claims to be a cockroach  for  their tough survival in this adversity. Singhal said, " We are very frugal aand our company was born in the winter so we are confident of raising and mainraining capital. But capital infusion wiil see several improvement  from April 2023 onwards  due to a lot of dry powder avaiilability

STAGE in Shark Tank

The thing of appearing in Shaek Tank India season 2 primarily dismissed by the  founders  due to the previosu season show funder in early stage startups. STAGE is now under the process on boosing  their Series A funding.

STAGE- Offers

This is quite surprising as the  show now progressed from early stage to late stage . STAGE was offered Rs. 1,5 crore for 0.6% equity with Rs. 1,5 Crore debt at 18% interest from Namita Thapar, Aman Gupta, and Peyush Bensal.

STAGE planning to raise Series B funding later this year. The investors contain Better capital, IPV, TCA, Venture catalysts, and Blume Ventures. Now STAGE's team has more than 5,000 artists in dialects of Mewari, Harauti, Sikhawati, Bangaru. The net valuation is Rs. 290 crore raised Rs. 40 crore in Series A funding
