Vodafone Idea or now known as ‘Vi’ has launched a new plan to attract customers in the telecom market which is dominated by Mukesh Ambani-led Reliance’s Jio. This is a new Rs. 399 digital exclusive plan which is available only on the Vi website. That means customers who wish to order a new SIM has to go on their website. You will be asked to enter your contact and address details on the website following which a one-time password (OTP) will be sent to you for verification of completing the order.
This plan comes in both prepaid and postpaid alternatives. Thus, a customer looking to buy a new sim can opt for the Rs. 399 plan. The prepaid gives customers 1.5GB per day and 100 SMS per day. Apart from this. you will get access to Vi Movies & TV as additional benefits. It is valid for 56 days which is longer than 28 days validity offered by the older Rs. 297 plan from Vi.
If you are planning to buy the postpaid plan then you will get 40GB of data and 100 SMS per month. Also, keep in mind that you will get an additional 150GB of data for six months. Just like the prepaid plan, you will be eligible to get additional benefits in the form of Vi Movies and TV subscription. Also, 200GB of rollover data is available with this plan.
This is the only first-recharge plan which you have to avail from the website. The other first-recharge plans like Rs. 97, Rs. 197, Rs. 297, Rs. 497, and Rs. 647 can be availed both online and offline.
Vodafone Idea is trying to lure customers with its new marketing strategies. But, can do they offer enough metal to challenge a robust company like Reliance Jio is still very debatable.
